Our favorite time of the year is fast approaching, and we expect to see our first snowflurriefall in a few weeks. That event means two things here at the Lodge...four-wheel drive vehicles and getting ready for cross country ski season. You are sure to start hearing the question "do you have four wheel drive?" every time you call to make a reservation in the restaurant or for lodging, and we say what we mean. The Lodge road is steep, winding, and shaded in many places, so in snowy and icy conditions (most of the winter), two wheel drive or front wheel drive without chains simply cannot make it in, or if you do manage to make it in, you probably won't make those last two sharp uphill turns to get out. We do offer other options, which we'll feature once the snow is on the ground. |
