What better way to see the beauty of Central Virginia than from the vantage point of a soaring bird? We fly in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and it is often possible to see Monticello and the Shenandoah Valley. Weather permitting, we fly every day at sunrise. In addition to the cool air and calm winds, absolutely essential to hot air ballooning, this time of the day enhances the beauty and tranquility of the flight. Evening flights (two hours before sunset) are also available. Please understand that due to different meteorological conditions from sunrise, (excessive heat, wind and thunderstorms) evening flights get cancelled far, far more often then do morning flights. Your hot air balloon flight will average an hour and all of our flights are followed by a champagne celebration back at the Inn where you will be given a color flight certificate and digital pictures of your flight. We also provide a movie of flying over the Swiss Alps for your enjoyment. The entire experience will last approximately three hours but the memories will last a lifetime. |
