Located between the George Washington and Monongahela National Forests and within thousands of acres of natural forest, Wildernest Inn is a secluded hideaway on its own 80 acres. One can watch the hawks soaring in the sky, deer at the pond, periodic parades of wild turkey and visits by curious black bears. You can enjoy quiet time, either in the private spaces of the Inn itself or wandering through the beautiful acreage. At the bottom of the property is the almost mile-long South Mill Creek Lake where guests can make use of the Wildernest canoe and limited fishing gear. In addition there is a two-mile nature trail around the lake for hiking or jogging and of course there's trout and bass fishing. |
